Joker Poker

Joker Poker Online

Joker Poker is a fun variation of video poker available at Casino Midas. It offers all the regular payouts, plus a few others. Thanks to the inclusion of the Joker into the deck, there are a number of hands that can be made that are otherwise not available in video poker games. Joker Poker is played with a single 52 card deck with one Joker that acts as a wild card. Coin sizes in the game range from 0.05 to 5.00 allowing for a range of bankrolls. The game is available in a single hand variation, as well as a multi-hand variation that allows you to play 3, 10 or 52 hands at one time.

The Aim of the Game

The aim of the game of Joker Poker is to achieve the best five card poker hand possible using the five cards that are dealt to you. The pay table for the game is available on the screen. Due to the inclusion of a few extra paying hand combinations, the lowest ranking hand is a pair of Kings or better.

Hand Rankings

The lowest ranking hand in Joker Poker is a pair of Kings, while the highest ranking hand is a sequential royal flush which pays out the jackpot of 10,000 coins when it is achieved while playing with the maximum number of five coins. From highest to lowest, Joker Poker hands rank as follows:

  • Straight Flush – five cards in sequence in the same suite, lower than Ace high.
  • Four of a Kind – four cards of an identical value.
  • Full House – three cards of one value and two cards of another value.
  • Flush – five cards in the same suit.

How to Play Joker Poker?

Joker Poker is played in the same way as classic video poker games. Players will need to choose their bet size and place a bet by clicking on the deal button. Five cards will be dealt face up. Players can choose to hold between zero and five cards by clicking on them. Once you are ready, click again on the deal button and the un-held cards in your hand will be re-dealt for new cards, resulting in a new five card hand. This hand will then be ranked according to the pay table and you will be paid out for any wins. Make sure to keep an eye on the pay table as Joker Poker has additional paying hands compared to other online video poker games and this may affect your strategy.

Double or Nothing

If you win a payout while playing Joker Poker, you will have the option to gamble to double your win. If you choose to gamble, you will be dealt five cards, one face up which is the dealer’s card and four face down which are your cards. Choose one of the four face down cards to hold. The cards will be revealed and if your chosen card ranks higher than the dealer’s face up card, your winnings will be doubled. You are then able to gamble again or collect your winnings and return to the main game. If you lose the gamble, you will lose your winnings from that hand and be returned to the main game.
